Torn apart by war, bound by love: can Podevin and Emma survive the battle lines that divide them?
When his sons stumble across a Saxon raiding party, the outlawed Podevin is drawn back into his former world of warriors, battles and deadly politics.
With Podevin’s identity revealed, Duchess Emma of Bohemia asks him to travel from Prague to Saxony, to discover the truth of how her sister, the Saxon queen, died.
Negotiating misunderstandings with both former allies and enemies, Podevin unwillingly joins the plot to attack his homeland. Emma, meanwhile, faces deadly plots orchestrated by her own husband.
With divided loyalties, and in constant danger, can Podevin and Emma keep those they love safe, and finally be reunited?
