Pocket Catholic Dictionary is a comprehensive, one-volume reference work containing definitions and explanations of the key terms of Catholicism. Father Hardon has carefully selected some 2,000 entries from his original master tome of over 5,000 terms that comprise Modern Catholic Dictionary. Furthermore, this pocket edition reflects changes in the newly revised Code of Canon Law.
Here are clear and concise definitions in the areas of faith, worship, morals, history, theology, spirituality. The only such dictionary compiled since Vatican Council II, and incorporating post-conciliar terms and expressions, it is alphabetically arranged with appropriate cross-references. The Appendix features the Credo of the People of God, a complete listing of popes, and an updated ecclesiastical calendar of the Roman rite with saints for each day of the year.
This handy primer is a worthy companion to the author's bestselling Catholic Catechism, and one that belongs in every home library.
