[English]
Eva Feld's memoirs turn on a bright flashlight to reveal an era of big ideas and bold actions. These are episodes of passion and misbeliefs happening in two continents, three countries, and four languages.
Eva Feld's poetic narrative depicts the seventies under both a microscope, to expose moments of her own life, and a telescope to envision the chimerical future of society. The reader can approach, in Spanish and in English, the enchantment to which many youngsters succumbed in order to reinvent reality, and the realpolitik that swallowed their ambition.
Despite the adversities, Eva Feld discloses a clue to finding oneself, the value of writing a memoir, and gives a cue...

[Editor's description]
Yo en Plural is an intimate and powerful memoir by Eva Feld, shaped by exile, love, political conflict, and the search for identity. Raised between a brilliant Holocaust-survivor father, a loving but overwhelmed mother, and a rigid, violent stepfather, Eva learns to multiply herself to survive a world that often exceeds her.
Her journey takes her from Venezuela to 1970s Paris, among students, exiles, revolutionaries, and unexpected friends. There she discovers both the allure and the harshness of political idealism, faces losses that break her, and rebuilds herself through literature and introspection. Returning to Venezuela, she joins a communal project that forces her to confront privilege, justice, and the real weight of wanting to change others' lives.
Told in Spanish and English, her voice remains sharp, poetic, and brave, exploring insomnia, desire, fear, motherhood, historical trauma, and the many versions of the self.
