Playing the Game is about life and the great game of golf.
Playing the Game offers inspiration for life and golf on 18 themes like priorities, the swing, adversity, character, practice, and play each shot. I wrote the book to give important quotes and scripture on these topics in a book for Christmas for my twin sons. The co-author is golf professional Wally Armstrong who played on the tour and now teaches and does golf clinics. We built the 18 themes around the 18 holes at TPC Sawgrass in Jacksonville, FL. The cover photo is the famous island green on number 17. We call that one "Death or Glory" and write about the topic of Pressure. Our advice is Sam Snead's quote "Be at ease; do not freeze." The design and content make PTG easy and fun to read. Byron Nelson, the great golf legend and man of character, whom we quote in the book, likes to read Playing the Game. At the recent PGA show in Orlando Byron said he likes to read the short, powerful thoughts...combined with spiritual insights from the Bible. The beauty of TPC Sawgrass, the photography, and the design by Koechel-Peterson Design make this a great gift and coffee table book.
