Review
Exploring new foods, without a fork. This coloring book brings fruits and vegetables to life through fun characters. As a pediatric dietitian and mom, I’m always looking for resources that provide a positive and practical approach to nutrition. These coloring pages are perfect for bringing along to the grocery store or keeping kids busy during dinner prep. One key way to reduce resistance to trying new foods is the opportunity to explore them in low pressure ways. Let your child trade his (or her) fork for a crayon and you might be surprised how curiosity about what these foods look and taste like in real life grows. This coloring book is a perfect complement to the Where Do Bananas Come From? and Where Does Broccoli Come From? Growing Adventurous Eaters book series, an essential resource for families with kids and professionals that work with young children.
--Megan Boitano, MS, RD, pediatric and family dietitian and founder of RD2RD, a marketplace for nutrition education resources
