- Book 3 of 7: Guitars for Beginners
The bass guitar is a completely underrated musical instrument but it serves an extremely important function. It gives music heart and depth. Other instruments may seize the spotlight, but without the sound of the bass guitar to tie it together, it often falls flat more often than not.
If you're a bass aficionado and are looking for a way to shorten your learning curve and have little to no experience with music, this book is for you.
In this concise guide, Jason Randall takes you by the hand and gradually guides you on your discovery of bass guitar history, bass anatomy, proper fretting technique and many more, helping you kickstart and rapidly improve your bass guitar playing.
In How To Play The Bass, you're going to learn about:
- How to represent precise finger placements graphically using tablature
- Correct fretting techniques and common mistakes that bass players make
- Groove theory and the basics of the musical alphabet
- The major scale and chord formulas
- Triads and using the root and the 5th
- ...and much more!
Designed with complete beginners in mind, How To Play The Bass is full of practical lessons crafted to improve your guitar technique, enhance your creativity and upgrade your understanding of music theory, no matter what genre of music your interested in.
