From there, it moves into the major subspecialty domains that define modern plastic surgery practice: Craniofacial surgery and cleft lip and palate repairHand and upper limb reconstructionBreast reconstruction and oncoplastic surgeryBurn management and lymphatic surgeryLower limb reconstruction and trauma reconstructionSkin cancer reconstruction and pediatric congenital anomaliesA major emphasis is placed on microsurgical techniques, perforator flaps, nerve repair, lymphatic reconstruction, and free tissue transfer, reflecting contemporary global standards in reconstructive surgery. The aesthetic surgery sections provide detailed, anatomy-based guidance on facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, otoplasty, breast aesthetics, body contouring, and genital aesthetic surgery - ensuring a balanced, well-rounded integration of reconstructive and cosmetic principles rather than treating them as separate disciplines.Specialized chapters round out the volume with orthognathic surgery and emerging technologies shaping the field's future, including AI, robotic surgery, and 3D printing in plastic surgery. What Readers Will Find InsideA structured, anatomy-first foundation before every operative techniqueReconstructive algorithms and decision-making frameworks for real casesFull subspecialty coverage - craniofacial, hand, breast, burn, microsurgical, and aestheticDetailed operative guidance across both reconstructive and cosmetic proceduresContent structured for exam preparation, fellowship training, and daily surgical referenceInsight into emerging technologies transforming the specialty - AI, robotics, and 3D printingWho This Book Is ForPlastic and reconstructive surgeons in practiceSurgical residents and fellows preparing for board and fellowship examsMedical students exploring plastic surgery as a specialtyMultidisciplinary specialists (hand surgeons, craniofacial teams, oncoplastic breast surgeons) who collaborate on reconstructive casesWritten in a clear, systematic, and highly structured format, this book reflects the modern evolution of plastic surgery as a multidisciplinary, technology-driven, and outcome-focused specialty giving readers the anatomical grounding and operative confidence to practice at the highest clinical standard.
