In high finance, the most dangerous enemy is the one inside the building.
Alasdair Stewart built Cambria Financial’s New York arm into a global success—profitable, independent, and respected across Wall Street. Many saw him as the natural heir to the group CEO.
But in a company built on loyalty, fear, and quiet vendettas, ambition is a threat that must be eliminated.
When Dr. Cadwgan Rhun becomes group chief executive, he begins a slow, calculated dismantling of Alasdair’s career.
Forged documents. Manipulated systems. Trusted colleagues turned into weapons.
By the time Alasdair sees the trap, his future—and his freedom—are already in jeopardy.
Into this silent war steps David Wallace, Cambria’s new Chief Technology Officer. Hired to modernize the bank’s chaotic systems, he instead uncovers a conspiracy where every line of code, every favor, and every whisper carries consequences.
Standing with Alasdair could cost him everything.
Staying silent could make him complicit in a crime no one will ever admit happened.
A gripping, character-driven thriller set against the looming 2008 financial crisis, Planted exposes the power plays, hidden agendas, and moral compromises inside a global bank—where fortunes can rise or fall with a single manipulated document.
