Print on Demand. This book presents a model for measuring the success of strategic planning systems. The author argues that traditional approaches to evaluating planning effectiveness have often been inadequate due to a lack of appropriate operationalizing schemes for measuring the success of planning systems. The author develops a two-dimensional conceptualization of planning system success that takes into account both the capabilities of the planning system and the extent to which those capabilities are used to achieve desired outcomes. The author then develops a set of measurement scales for each of these dimensions and provides empirical evidence for the validity and reliability of these scales. This book will be of interest to researchers and practitioners in the field of strategic management. It provides a much-needed framework for evaluating the success of strategic planning systems and should help to advance our understanding of this important topic. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
