This full orchestral score presents The Planets, Op. 32 by Gustav Holst, one of the most celebrated works in the classical repertoire. Designed for conductors, advanced students, and serious music enthusiasts, it offers complete access to Holst’s richly detailed writing for large orchestra and wordless chorus, making it ideal for score study, rehearsal preparation, and deeper musical understanding.
The complete seven-movement suite is presented in standard notation, allowing readers to follow orchestration, harmony, and structural development in full detail. Each movement reflects the distinct astrological character of its planet, creating a compelling balance between analytical study and expressive musical exploration.
This full orchestral score preserves all instrumental and choral elements, enabling musicians to engage closely with Holst’s orchestration, texture, and dramatic pacing. It supports detailed score reading, interpretative work, and a broader appreciation of early twentieth-century compositional style.
For musicians, this score deepens understanding of orchestration, texture, and compositional technique. Conductors can explore balance and interpretation across movements, while students benefit from studying Holst’s inventive use of rhythm, modality, and tonal colour. The work’s dramatic contrasts—from the driving force of Mars to the expansive warmth of Jupiter—provide both analytical depth and emotional engagement.
Song List

Whether used for formal study, rehearsal preparation, or as a thoughtful gift for classical music enthusiasts, this full score remains a lasting addition to any music library.
