The Planetary Alignment: When the Heavens Fall Apart is a chilling collection of 35 dark and disturbing short stories that explores the terrifying consequences of a cosmic event that alters the fabric of reality. As the planets align, humanity faces a cataclysmic shift that unleashes horrors from beyond the stars. This anthology delves deep into the unsettling and often morbid aftermath of a celestial disaster, where the very laws of nature break down, and the Earth becomes a battleground for survival.
In these spine-tingling tales, the alignment is no ordinary astronomical event; it's a harbinger of doom. The stories in this collection take you to the heart of a collapsing universe where time fractures, space warps, and humanity's worst nightmares become tangible. From the awakening of ancient gods to the eruption of violent cosmic storms, the characters in each story must confront the unimaginable as they struggle to survive in an increasingly hostile world.
In The Planetary Alignment: When the Heavens Fall Apart, readers will find themselves:
- Witnessing a desperate family trapped in their home as a cosmic rift opens, releasing beings from another dimension in The Planetary Pulse.
- Staring into the abyss as a group of scientists slowly loses their sanity after a failed experiment during the alignment in The Great Alignment Madness.
- Following the harrowing journey of a man who discovers an ancient book during the alignment, promising power but leading him into a deadly spiral of madness in The Harvest of Souls.
- Feeling the terrifying pull of the stars in Eyes of the Void, where a town's inhabitants are driven mad by an unseen cosmic force that bends their perception of reality.
- Exploring the fate of an isolated village where the alignment triggers the awakening of vengeful gods in Red Dawn of the Ancients.
- Living through the haunting transformation of a small community as the alignment brings forth strange powers and terrifying creatures in The Descent of the Stars.
Each story is a masterfully crafted descent into horror, blending psychological tension, supernatural phenomena, and apocalyptic scenarios that will leave you questioning the very nature of reality. With no escape and no redemption, The Planetary Alignment: When the Heavens Fall Apart paints a grim picture of what could happen if the celestial forces beyond our understanding were to turn against us.
This collection is a must-read for fans of cosmic horror, apocalyptic tales, and stories that delve into the darkest corners of human nature. It explores not only the fear of the unknown but also the terrifying consequences of tampering with forces far greater than ourselves. The Planetary Alignment: When the Heavens Fall Apart will keep you up at night, staring at the stars and wondering what lies just beyond their reach.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
