Uncolored map of most of Westchester County, New York, showing the positions of armies before the Battle of White Plains from the London edition of John Marshall's Life of George Washington. The geography and features on this map are essentially the same as on the American edition of the same year, in spite of the fact that it has been completely re-engraved. One significant difference is in the title where the Croton River has been erroneously identified as the Cotton River. Also, two family names south of White Plains which appear on the American issue are not present here. Very good condition, previously folded, with light wear near the bottom edge.
