It is the dreams and hopes of the new generation; it is a tool to help guide the Haitian people in the transition from politicians that have made questionable choices to the new visionary leaders, a tool to assist them in the process of transformation from misery to prosperity and wellbeing. This is a book that going to bring to the light who are responsible for Haitian people's misery and will explain also the self-denial of a group of Haitian in Haiti and overseas for the cause of Haiti and for the benefit of the Haitian people. This book will explain an extraordinary story of an ordinary man who has vision for Haiti's struggle. His father was murdered, his mother got kidnapped and was robbed three times, all because they spoke out for a better life, and they spoke out for peace and justice in Haiti. From 1804 to 2010, exactly 206 years of independence and 206 years of calamity, humiliation, isolation and corruption, after all those years it's still raising some fundamental questions how much more the Haitian people have to endure? How long they have to wait to get help? After the earthquake, the entire world sympathized with Haiti and gave billions to leaders and to non profit organizations that has been established in this country for years to help the people and to rebuild Haiti. After four months, yet nothing has been done and in the capital I know many hurting people who haven't received any help, not even a bottle of water. In the mean time people continue to die,suffer, and among them tension starts raising high and in my point of view, I don't see any evidence that those leaders in this country has any desire to make any changes in the direction of better quality of life for the Haitian people. Today I am seeking justice in a very different and unusual way, I want to establish for the first time in Haiti rules and principles that can't be violated by anyone and prove to the world how an ordinary man can really do an extraordinary change in a country known as a land of corruption, a land of poverty and impunity.

When I decided to write this book in 2008, my youngest son asked me, "dad what is the title of the book?" I said "Plaintive Voices of Haiti to the World". He asked me, "Where did you get this name from?" I started to explain him what was happening: as I always in tears and lamented each day the misery and the bitter grief of the Haitian people. It seems to be an angel who has evidence of all my pains and my generosity to those people for many years, this angel who has also evidence that I am inspired to do something different in Haiti and has evidence of my greatest desire to accompany the young Haitians to do a revolution in Haiti which will be for sure a revolution of economic, to accompany them to declare war against poverty, and corruption. This angel appeared one day before me and asked this question "Rameau, are you not tired with the suffering and the plaintive voices of the people?" During that moment tears began to trickle from my eyes, not because of the beauty of the angel, but because of the sad words that came from the angel's mouth. And I have these kinds of dreams very often since 1971 until now, that's why I have chosen the name: "Plaintive Voices of Haiti to the World" for my book. I started writing it many months prior to the earthquake in Haiti on January 12, 2010, I went to Haiti in January 2007, I saw Haiti's capital as if it was a grenade waiting to get its pin pulled and ready to explode, I knew something eminent was going to happen soon. I thought it was an excellent idea to write a book, not only to tell the world about what happened to me, to my family, to my friends and the entire Haitian population, but to tell the world that something big is going to happen to the Haitian people and then Haiti is in an emergency situation. Unfortunately things happen exactly the way I predicted before my book is even published. Even though you are about to read something to which that you are no longer unaware but I still believe that its an excellent idea to go ahead and finish my book and spread it around the entire world and at least the readers will know that everything I have been writing in this book is directly from God and I have been inspired by him. Ladies and gentlemen what you are holding in your hands right now is the Haitian people's complaint to the world; it is their will and their vision for a new Haiti. It is the dreams and hopes of the new generation; it is a tool to help guide the Haitian people in the transition from politicians that have made questionable choices to the new visionary leaders, a tool to assist them in the process of transformation from misery to prosperity and wellbeing. This book also will explain the self-denial of a group of Haitians in Haiti and overseas for the cause of Haiti and for the benefit of the Haitian people, a group that wants to respond positively to the desperate calls of Haitian people. Even though our politicians are not only group who are behind everything bad happened in Haiti, but the Haitian people have strong evidence that they are also responsible for Haiti's tragedies and their lives has been devastated by these politicians greed. For example, if in the distress of the people a leader cannot say a word of consolation, if a leader is unable to make others respect his people, or unable to prevent embarrassments, humiliation, and prejudice so unworthy to Haiti, the first black independent country in the western hemisphere where these great people are considered as a race inferior by nations who even don't have a great history than Haiti, if a leader cannot give at least a short-term of happiness to the young people who have seen their youth fade in hopelessness generation after generation; a style of leader, should stay out from politic indefinitely, because there is a moment for each dictator or for each elected official whose their thoughts are less occupied in doing people's business other than stealing the people's money to step out and let some one else who have vision and competent to step in. As the day of the saviors and the visionary leaders is fast coming, these weapons of mass destruction and distraction whatever names the people call them, must avail themselves of my message and hasten with out delay to make the necessary arrangements to quit and run away before it's too late. Mean time, I am asking the people who are always fundamentally prepared to deal with any bad situations to be enjoyed what ever help they can get for the moment until leadership of this country shifting from criminals to a decent and respectful visionary leader. Why should we have governments and elected officials in Haiti? What role they are playing in the society? What is their contribution for the economic growth and for stable environment? With sadness and regrets, I deeply noted, I could find a single man and woman among politicians who dare to reflect our sublime chief intrepid such as: Jean Jacques Dessalines, Henry Christophe, Capois Lamort and Toussaint L'Ouverture. "By overthrowing me, you have succeeded in cutting down the tree of liberty of the black in Santo Domingo, but you have failed to destroy the roots that are deep and strong. The tree will grow again". Said Toussaint L'Ouverture, the most considerable man in our race and most admirable by the universe while most of our politicians past or present are the most detested people in the earth. Except for these great patriots whose philosophy, character and actions are barely identified with our heroes. I'm talking about Doctor Bertude Pierre, Sonet Saint Louis attorney at law, engineer Jean Sergot Pierre-Louis, Jean Bertrand Aristide, Mme Mirland Manigat, Steven Benoit, Michel Edward, Himler Rebu, Walther Pierre, Esterline Pierre, and Jean Rameau Pierre. It's very recommending that the Haitian people keep their eyes open on those patriots until the man above, who knows the end from the beginning tells us other wise. The people should be very grateful to the staff members of Radio signal FM one of the best Radio station in Haiti, Radio Lumiere, Radio WPKN 89.5 FM in Bridgeport and Radio Panou. From the moment I started writing this book, heavy tears fell from my eyes while I commune a few moments with my own thoughts about these unfortunate human beings with whom I always share pain and suffering, heavy tears fell from my eyes when I recover my recollection of how politicians deprived me so soon of my father.
My mother getting kidnapped, robbed and beat up three times, my friends getting murdered and I had seen so much bloodshed many regions in different cities and being forced to leave my country, they deprived me of my family, my parents, my friends and the children that I love so much, there are so distant from me in solitary and in total confusion for more than twenty two years, and what makes the situation worse for me, for a reason that I don't have nothing to do with it and have no control of it, my children have been denied many times by the embassy of Haiti to join me in America to support them, to help them with the big injuries they are getting from leaders and the earthquake. Now they are alone and in great danger, because most of the close families perish in that earthquake. The only companies they have right now are the dead bodies with which they are sleep every night at the street. Dear readers, more tears fell from my eyes and rolled unheeded from my cheeks onto the papers I've written after the tragedy on January, 12, 2010. However, as a high spirited man since I was a child, this horrible situation led me to more strength and today before me I see nothing but my obligation towards my people and my country. I am rejoiced today that duty called me and the people has given me the pleasure to write my first book on their behalf and I think I did therefore what an honest person and a good patriot should. I hesitated a moment, but thanks to the suggestions by many Americans friends and other people around the world, I started something that it seemed no one had enough courage to start, they suggested that in order to take Haiti from hell to paradise, someone has to unlock the truth about these "Lucifer" which is the only way to bring back the togetherness we have lost soon after our independence. And if we don't do that the disaster and the catastrophe we are facing today is just a tiny taste of true danger that is waiting for us ahead. Because these friends believe if the Haitian people get the momentum and catch up with the spirit of light to understand what is the meaning of "Lunen Fait La Force", if all the event planners, the abolitionists, the activists get together to form an international organization on the behalf of Haiti, they still have the chance to regain control of their destinies and reclaim the title; Haiti, "Pearl of the Antilles" On January 12, 2010, God has spoken, the Haitian cannot any longer play with the facts that unity and mutual respect among them is not more than necessary, and the world cannot deny and play with the facts that politicians led the country into a complete disaster, and the leaders of Haiti cannot deny and play with the facts that their cause the death of more than two hundred thousand people, one hundred fifty thousand severely injured and left two million people homeless. By the information of the light, most of those people's death cause by the politician's negligence, by not making any progress, by not doing anything right in Haiti. My friends, this is the truth by which the Haitian people have always lived for the past forty years. Before the earthquake, the people's life was always miserable and brutal. The people always have to deal with dysfunctional governments and irrelevant elected officials; they use to leave without food, electricity or any basic services whatsoever. Now the earthquake causes our problems even bigger and before us the challenge is greater than ever. We all witnessed on that day, the haven crying loudly and the voice melt together with thunder lighting to protest in favor of Haiti. It's very impressive, soon after the earthquake, the Obama Administration, the CNN staff, the Fox news, WBAI, the American people and the entire world feel a sense of great humanitarian, and have an intense desire not only to help us in our most terrific and disgusting situations, but also to bring a shimmering light throughout the country, and this time, the Haitian people hoping that they want to help Haiti, not because they want something in return or the glory, but because they truly believe from the bottom of their hearts that helping others and sharing sacrificially with others is the glory of God. The people would like to send a sage warning to the rescuers, in order to be successful in helping rebuilt Haiti, the international community must keep out completely in the process those leaders who promote the desert condition in Haiti and never made any efforts to raise the esteem and performance levels of their own government, those who never understand if there is a killing, there should be also a healing. It's very sad to see even in our worse time, the promoters of our tragedy including the non-profit organizations people are already set out to waste in fraud the money that the contributors give to help rebuild Haiti. I know it's always very difficult for the international community to shut down all sources of corruption and tracking down the conspirators. But as I said, in order to overcome corruption and achieve the goals, there will have to be a well organized task force at the international level with zero tolerance. If there is no question that the United States and the international communities well-known about those thief and privilege politicians that among them, local tax payers money and the money that come from overseas are the politicians personal money and every thing Haiti has had their personal ownership; My question is: should all this not suppose to motivate those who send money to the politicians and to the non-profit organizations to become very serious with those who are addicted in stealing in Haiti? What make the international communities think that politicians are going to shift their own priorities from seeking first the interest of the nation instead of seeking first their own interest? And what make the international communities think those leaders after this earthquake going to develop some love to the extent that will bring hope for the suffering people? This is unrealistic to expect any thing good from these people and they deserve not even a penny. I am very upset to hear that one penny in every US dollar goes to the pockets of corrupt people; this money should be used to help the people and rebuild the country. Governments and non-profit organizations stealing enough in Haiti, the fact of the matter those politicians should be out of public services indefinitely, after this earthquake kicked them out of the offices. Since the past is the past the people don't have to look back, they need to forgive those who purposely behave in disruptive way in Haiti, because not only we all have been forgiving by God, but also this is a peaceful response and the powerful way to put them down. Secondly, we have no intent to harm our oppressors, but we just need in a non-violence manner to shift the energy they have from violence that hurting us at all times to neutrality. Third, Haiti is toward recovery with the help of the international communities and also on a course to a new country and this earthquake causes a serious consideration to have new people who have desire to respond to the instructions provided by this book regarding the ways of unity which will prevent people killing one an other and will served a pivotal role in our country. They can leave peacefully in Haiti, but out of politic, because the Haitian people suffered too much and have been abandoned for too long, they are not going to continue to putting up with their terrible behaviors and the international communities are not going to allow them to undermine their efforts to help Haiti. The expatriates looking for leaders who are determined to prove themselves to be disciplined by observing the Haiti constitution and the international laws. People, who can demonstrate in a remarkable way at time of crisis or natural disaster, will be able to help. Today Haiti required from each citizens a deep commitment and focus while the entire world have their eyes opened on us and their hearts open for us, because these good Samaritans conscientious that Haiti faced the challenge of corruption and political violent for many years, Haiti faced the challenge of the recession and now Haiti faces a terrible earthquake. This is not the time to put our dreams on the closet, it's the time to pursuit our dreams, dream to lay down for the first time some principal in Haiti while the evil politicians are out of business. The Haitian American and the Haitian that resides around the world have to take some of the blames for Haiti's trouble. We have been contributed more than 1.3 billion dollars in remittance that flow to Haiti each year which is going to be triple this year. Even so, we have committed a great mistake by not response to the calls of your responsibility. Many years ago Haitian people called on us with a strong voices to unite overseas and help them find a leader who willing to help Haiti, unfortunately we are a live and our eyes open, but our brains seemed shut down, we never be able to signal any response to the commands and the demands of the people. At this very especial moment, it's time to began to communicate and emerge as one people, we can't too busy working very hard for whole life to help Haiti and don't have enough time to bring this very important issues to the attention of the world. I can't too busy and don't have enough time to put in writing what I see and what I hear and I can't ignore what happened to me, to my family and to the Haitian people. If history is the only guide and indicator for the future generation, if the history must be preserved for those to come, I have to write a book that will hold the truth for many years about what happened to my country and what happen right now to my children in Haiti. Why Haiti has become one of the poorest nations in the world? Why policies and corruptions are always dragging this nation into bloodshed? Why the same policy that applies for other countries is doesn't apply for Haiti? Is that because Haiti is the first black independent nation in the western hemisphere and the first country that opened the door of democracy for other countries? Or is that because Haitian people are black and the fact that they are black they should not accomplished anything in a racially prejudice world? Why no punishments never enough and too hard for Haitian people? This is the critical questions that everyone asking and believes that this is the moment for the community international particularly our president Barack Obama to put the policy toward Haiti onto the discussion and change it immediately because many people felt that our past accomplishments and our race is one of the reasons we are prevented from living a normal life like every body else in this earth.
