I have demonstrated, through my failures and struggles, that there has been and continues to be a glaringly obvious godly choice in everything we do. This choice is plan A—God’s way.
When we became Christians by accepting Christ, we entered into a covenant with Christ that is irrevocable. He will spend the remainder of our lives, showing us His ways. Our refusing to follow doesn’t cause Him to give up on us and rescind His covenant. Most times, we simply give up on ourselves. It’s never too late to become the man or woman God intended us to be.
Dying to ourselves is the only way to succeed in God’s plans for our lives. This book is about my journey in dying to myself so that I can say, like Paul, “It is not I who lives but Christ who lives in me.” Dying to oneself can be difficult and painful, or it can be easy-peasy. It’s our choice. There are no shortcuts. There are no other ways. If you want to enjoy and thoroughly succeed in living the triumphant and victorious Christian life, you must seek out and pursue God’s plan, plan A. Every other path is plan B and ultimately leads to mediocrity and/or failure.
Everyone who reads this book will walk away more enlightened and more empowered to live the way God intended us to live. He intended our lives to be testimonies of faith. He has provided a way for each of us to be living epistles of the good news (the gospel) of God.
I pray that as you turn the pages, you will begin to see the vision God has for you. For where He has given vision, He will also give provision. Believe me when I say, “You can do this thing.” I’m living proof that failure can be turned into triumph. Enjoy.
