Synopsis:
Pieces of Canada has been written partly to have something to pass on to future generations that will help to establish some idea of family tradition and continuity. The modern generation live too much in the “now” and have lost sight of many of the traditions and family ties that helped us get where we are today. And partly to pass on what I believe are the principal lessons I have learned from life.
Pieces of Canada describes opportunities, experiences, events and learning lessons that have shaped my life since moving to Canada. In particular, it describes my experiences and achievements as an engineer and geoscientist. Some are presented as short stories, others are only a page or two in length. Collectively they define my perceptions of the latter part of my life and complement the earlier publication of Pieces of Africa.
