Synopsis:

In 1975 the word lesbian was rarely heard in conversation. Homosexuality was still viewed as a mental illness in many countries and gays were treated as freaks. In high school, the author fell in love with another girl and for five years they maintained a secret relationship while trying to appear 'normal' to everyone else.
