Add to basketSharpen your HB, dust off your slide rule, and prepare to revise like it?s 1976 and the electron has just been introduced to polite society. Physics ? GCE O-Level Passbook (1976) by B. P. Brindle (Key Facts) is the compact, slightly stern tutor who turns up five minutes early, brings its own chalk, and proceeds to explain the universe on a single side of A5 if you?d only stop fidgeting. It?s the distilled essence of mid-century British science education: brisk, unflappable, and absolutely certain that a neat free-body diagram can fix your life. Inside, you?ll find the holy trinity of school-physics comfort food? forces, fields, and formulas ?served in the brisk, bullet-proof style of the Key Facts series. No fluff. No TED Talk. Just tidy snippets, pithy derivations, and the occasional diagram that looks like it could discipline a misbehaving pendulum by glare alone. Heat makes sense. Light behaves itself (mostly). Electricity stops being witchcraft and starts being arithmetic. Even the terrifying moments and momentum behave, lined up like prefects outside the lab. This Passbook is revision in its purest, carbon-papered form: Concise laws, constants, and definitions that snap satisfyingly into place. Worked examples that seem easy until you realise the trick was algebra. Exam-style questions that smell faintly of graph paper and moral rectitude. Occasional vintage phrasing that makes you want to salute Ohm and underline things twice. Why this copy? It comes via the disarmingly honest purveyor Crappy Old Books , which assures you that Condition: Fair means exactly that: perfectly readable, structurally sound, cosmetically? experienced. Expect a copy that has seen a desk or three, possibly auditioned as a coaster for a tepid school-canteen tea, and survived with the stoicism of a galvanised nail. The pages still carry that faint scholastic aura?chalk dust, ruled margins, the distant echo of someone being told to ?show your workings.? Vital stats for the shelf-proud and exam-scarred alike: Title: Physics ? GCE O-Level Passbook Author: B. P. Brindle Series: Key Facts Year: 1976 ISBN: 085047907X Condition: Fair (earnest, intact, unvain) Vendor: Crappy Old Books ?the name is blunt, the stock surprisingly not. Buy it for the nostalgia, keep it for the lab-coat authority. This little volume will sit on your shelf like a miniature Van de Graaff of confidence, humming with the quiet promise that the world still bows to equations, rulers, and good sense. And if you?re not revising for an O-Level? Consider it a pocket-sized time machine: flip it open and you?re back in the lab, striking a match under a test tube while a teacher says, ?Mind your units.?
