From the Back Cover
'Creating a profound, intelligent vision of angels for the next millennium. Fox and Sheldrake chart new territory in the relationship between religion and science.'
What are angels? Many people believe in angels, but few can define these enigmatic sprits. Now visionary theologian Matthew Fox and acclaimed biologist Rupert Sheldrake – pioneers in modern religious thinking and scientific theory launch a groundbreaking exploration into the ancient concept of the angel and restore dignity, meaning and joy to our time-honoured belief in these heavenly beings.
Their guides on this journey: voices of classical religious though – including the great Christian mystics and the Bible itself – and startling revelations of modern physics and cosmology. Their discovery: Angels are far greater and more powerful beings than we ever knew, and our belief in them can revolutionise our lives and have profound implications for the future.
