Lightly rubbed corners, lightly bumped with tiny rubs spine extremities, slightly rubbed front spine fold. Lightly foxed edges. Internally front hinge starting, tanned endpaper with owner's name in pencil, 3 bent page-corners, few spots of foxing in earlier pages, else contents about as new. Illustrated with 84 b/w photographs, some combined on one plate, all present. A remarkable achievement considering the difficulties of photography in the field at that period. A lively text, often amusing. In many ways a historical document. Large book, weight 1.1kg before packaging. Overseas postage would require addition.
