Oblong quarto measuring 11" x 8". Screw-bound black leather over paper boards with "photographs Sailzaid" stamped in gilt on the front board. Contains 9 sepia-toned or black and white silver gelatin photographs measuring between 4" x 6" and 8" x 10" with captions. Very good with spotting and worn edges. A small photo album with professional photographs of the W.Z. Butte Oil Company and Macpherson Oil Company oil rigs in Thermopolis, Wyoming around 1930. The photos show the landscape and rocky terrain of Wyoming along with the mechanical equipment of the oil rig. One photo shows the underground fixtures of the rig and another shows an artful night shot of the scene. Another photo shows the F.A. Macpherson Woods hotel in the area. A nice collection of Wyoming oil drilling photographs. Seller Inventory # 413368
