nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - The Philosopher's Stone: Irrefutable Proofs of Its Existence by Papus, newly translated by Tau Phosphoros, offers a lucid and impassioned defense of one of alchemy's most elusive and storied goals. First published in the late 19th century, this concise treatise blends historical testimony, philosophical inquiry, and scientific speculation to argue that the Philosopher's Stone is not merely a metaphor or myth-but a tangible reality attested by credible witnesses across centuries.Papus, a towering figure in the French occult revival, draws upon the writings of Helvetius, Van Helmont, and Bérigard of Pisa, among others, to present a compelling case for transmutation and the unity of matter. With characteristic clarity and conviction, he explores the Stone's role as a 'medicine of the three kingdoms'-mineral, vegetable, and animal-and its enduring presence in Hermetic traditions, Freemasonry, and sacred architecture. This new English translation by Tau Phosphoros preserves the original's rhetorical force while enhancing its accessibility for modern readers. Ideal for students of alchemy, esoteric Freemasonry, and Western initiatic traditions, The Philosopher's Stone invites reflection on the synthesis of science and metaphysics-and the possibility of a unified truth.Includes a foreword, historical context, and references to key alchemical texts.…
