Philip and Arthur: or, The Chatterton Children. No author given. Published in 1869 by Frederick Warne and Co. Size: 3 x 4 1/2 inches. Page number: 96. A tiny book with a cloth cover of embossed mauve cloth decorated at its center with a gilt motif. Within one coloured image opposite the title page shows Philip and Arthur at their books and contemplating the night's sky. Canary yellow end papers. Condition: Good. The mauve binding has faded. The gilded motif remains bright however. The edges, and tops and bottom of the spine, are not bumped; but the colour of the spine is lighter than the colour of boards. The contents are fragile but complete; all pages being present though one is not absolutely secure.The end papers are cracked at the hinge. The pages are age toned. The gilded edges are faded and do not align. A previous owners name is written in ink on the first endpaper, with 'St. Marks Sunday School' and the date, 1873. Seller Inventory # 000183
