The Strangers Guide in Philadelphia to all Public Buildings, Places of Amusements, Commercial, Benevolent, and Religious Institutions, and Churches, Principal Hotels, &c &c &c. Published 1859, Philadelphia, by Lindsay & Blakiston.272 pages. Text in English. Wood engraved images. Publisher's 4 pp. catalogue at rear. No map. Publisher's red cloth binding, gilt title lettering, embossed ruled covers. Item is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition. Binding age worn and soiled in spots, yet still remains overall attractive as an object. Text block paper is foxed throughout, internally still well preserved. Still attractive on the shelf. Item displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive. Please review photos for more detail and our best attempt to convey how this antique item survives. Book Measures c. 6 3/4" H x 4 1/2" W.[B1595].
