Collated, complete.Featuring the bookplate of British politician Beville Stanier.A comprehensive guide to the proper care of pheasants from prominent naturalist William Bernhardt Tegetmeier. Tegetmeier wrote a number of texts on subjects ranging from pigeon breeds to honeybees and was notably a friend of Charles Darwin. This work features chapters on the natural history of pheasants, management in both preserves and confinement and diseases affecting pheasants. In publisher's original cloth binding. Bookplate of Beville Stanier to front paste down. Externally, generally smart with significant peeling of cloth to spine head and less severe loss to edges, joints and spine tips. Small closed tears to top and tail of both joints. Boards featuring noticeable marking, especially to rear. Internally, firmly bound. Very bright and clean with the exception of slight spotting, heavier to first and last few pages. Good Only.
