Print on Demand. This book embarks on an unforgettable journey through Egypt, a land of grandeur and mystery, steeped in history and culture. From fascinating insights into the ancient land's many conquerors and their impact on the people, to an exploration of the stark contrast between the Egypt of the past and its modern-day counterpart, the author weaves a tapestry that captures both the grandeur of this captivating country and the resilience of its people. Along the way, intriguing questions are posed and thought-provoking themes are explored, like whether Egypt can ever truly embrace self-rule or if its path is bound to foreign influence, and if the country can burst free of its chains of tradition to embrace the future. This book aims to shed light on the region's multifaceted past, and in doing so, illuminate the path ahead for Egypt and its people. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

- Ancient Egyptian History
I am going to Egypt. After mature consideration, I fancy that I shall find there precisely the style of subject I require. In the first place, the British public took some interest in the country last year, so naturally has none now 5. Then it has been so much written about, that there can be nothing new to say thirdly, we have vital interests in the country, so it is certain that a book on the subject will not be read and, above all, the subject has been so frequently discussed in Parliament, that one can rely on utter ignorance of essential facts.
