- Book 2 of 2: The Fate and Fire Series
I’ve never been on ideal terms with Fate.
After the attacks, it wasn’t hard to link events with a deadly book. I’m desperate to get rid of it. But a toll must be taken. Thank Gods Peter was there to bring me back from the brink.
The discovery of a fae predator stalking a park deep in the hidden depths of London put me back on the hunt. But killing a fae being breaks one of Fate’s rules. Darkness is closing in fast. And Fate wants paid.
Henchman gargoyles under control of goddess-turned-mortal, Genevieve, try nonstop to take me down. She's capable of horrors. I found the ones she’s bringing back from death. Genevieve has ties to the Celtic Pantheon, the deities who sent a bid to get me to denounce my human side. Or what’s left of it. And then there’s this business about a betrothal….
The ancient evil I only thought I’d dispatched is back with a vengeance, threatening me with attempts to strip away the goddess. My demigoddess alter ego would be sent back to the realm of her birth. That means death for me. Long, fiery, and thorough.
I promise, with each breath I’m granted, I will use my powers to help others. I will be good and do the right thing… if I make it out.
