[Report From The Committee of Privileges, On The Petition of the Freeholders of Wexford.] William Congreve Alcock, an M.P. for Wexford was diagnosed as a lunatic, and a petition of the freeholders of Wexford sought to have him removed from office. The Committee refuse to do this, outlining their reasons in the report, which incudes several letters concerning Mr. Alcock, as well as precedents for the issue going back to the 1st November 1558. 13pp. Some leaves loose, but overall in very good condition.
