Review
“Whether you are new to permaculture or well-seeped in its principles, The Permaculture Student 2 condenses a wealth of information into an easily digestible and thoroughly engaging format that is sure to give any reader new points of reference and insight. I highly recommend it.”
— Peter McCoy, Radical Mycology
“With the 'Permaculture Student' Matt Powers has completed a great service to the younger minds of the planet — others too, especially those new to land management, will find this piece very instructive, useful, easy to read and navigate.”
— Darren J. Doherty, Regrarians.org
“This book will help people who struggle with how to connect the different aspects of ecosystems into a logical whole. The framework presented in this book helps to line-up those facts and hang them side-by-side where they belong on the framework so that you can build, “fix", and be a part of ecosystems that function correctly, with little need for human intervention.”
— Dr. Elaine Ingham, Phd. SoilFoodWeb Inc
"The Permaculture Student 2 is well written and beautifully produced. Our children especially will thank Matt Powers for this terrific contribution to the permaculture literature."
—Larry Korn, author of One-Straw Revolutionary, and editor
of Masanobu Fukuoka's The One-Straw Revolution and Sowing Seeds in the Desert
"Well researched, articulate and engaging, the Permaculture Student Two fills a key niche in the world of permaculture education. Matt Powers has reached his goal to convey the solutions and the science behind Permaculture to the standards and audience of a K-12 environment. Indeed, this book goes even further with its well organized curriculum, to gifting permaculture to the world at large.”
—Erik Ohlsen, StoryScapes & Permaculture Skills Center
"There are so many places to start once you open the can of worms that permaculture is. It can lead you in many directions, but the Permaculture Student 2 is a great place to start to get an idea of what all the possibilities are. Matt Powers does a fantastic job of piecing together all the new and exciting developments underneath this big green umbrella!"
—Curtis Stone, The Urban Farmer
“The Permaculture Student 2, is easy to pick up, digest, and explore further. Thanks for your work Matt.”
—Javan K. Bernakevitch, AllPointsDesign.ca & PermacultureBC
“Matt Powers is more than a Permaculture Teacher, he's an educator. We need many more like him to reach the multitudes who have never heard of permaculture. Matt is teaching graduate level permaculture ideas to entry level students in a way that's understandable. In the end it's applicable to everyone since we all need to refresh the basics again and again.”
—Stefan Sobkowiak, of Miracle Farms & The Permaculture Orchard
