Synopsis:
JH and Sarah meet online regularly for virtual hookups. Obsessed with the brevity and solitariness of their connections, JH tries to convince Sarah to meet him in person. A strange seduction ensues when Sarah challenges JH to abstinence. The Perineum Technique is a meditation on intimacy in the era of hyperconnectivity - the couple's online encounters often begin with naked plunges off giant obelisks. Originally serialised in Le Monde, The Perineum Technique is one of France's most internationally acclaimed graphic novels of recent years, by two of its most exciting creators.
About the Authors:
Jérôme Mulot is best known for his comics collaborations with Ruppert; each French artist both writes and draws. The two met at the National School of art in Dijon and began publishing their creations in their fanzine Del Adventure. Together they won the Revelation Prize from the Angouleme International Comics Festival for Barrel of Monkeys (Panier de Singe). They began publishing the crime fiction le Grande Odalisque in 2012.
