"Making you is like making a chocolate chip cookie..." Two mommies need something extra to grow their family.
Current research demonstrates that it is in a child's best interest to be told their conception "story" right from the beginning with developmentally appropriate information.
So how do you introduce to a child that they were conceived using an egg donor, sperm donor, or donated embryo?
Our Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie is a delightful tale that uses the analogy of baking cookies to do just that. Step into an endearing story from a warm family kitchen to a magical chocolate chip factory!
This children's book will help you share with your child the beautiful way they were created and bring lots of giggles and delight as you read it together over and over.
It's important for everyone to be represented, and this version of the story is dedicated to Asian female same-sex couples who have grown their family via donation.
I have had the privilege of counselling countless parents who have embarked on the journey of conceiving using a donor. I know your challenges, and disappointments, and have witnessed the overwhelming joy when you hold your baby in your arms.
May Our Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie give you the language you need to share this incredible story with your little one.
