“Human consciousness” is a basic level of conscious experience. It is like being in nursery school. There are many layers between us and the collective, who we call Gods. God is not an individual, but rather a collective. The Perennial Truth offers you a cosmic codex to interpret your life's events which can ultimately lead you to communion with this collective.
Souls are begotten. Souls are fragments of the Divine Consciousness. You could say they are fragments of the consciousness of God. As such, they are never born and never die. You could say that the soul is a fragment of Universal consciousness that thinks it’s you.
Every sentient being has a soul, and these souls are all steadily advancing towards self-realization. It would be more accurate to say that the soul has you, rather than that you have a soul. There are more than 8 million species on earth. Each species has millions and even billions of members. And these are just the embodied souls. And all of them are on a journey towards one day having a human body on their journey towards self-realization. So, where do all the souls come from? From everywhere – they are all around you.
Your soul is that fragment of universal consciousness that thinks it is you. And because of this you could say that your soul is asleep and dreaming that it is you. That is why we speak of the awakening of the soul. It is the soul that awakens from the dream called life.
You may think that what you are experiencing as the world, is the real world, but what you are actually experiencing is a world being projected by your mind. The mind uses the electrical signals sent from the senses to the brain, integrates them and projects them into your consciousness as a representation of reality. The five senses give this world you perceive five dimensions. Most of what is happening in reality is not within the bandwidth of the senses, so you are not aware of it.
And because the senses serve as the input to the mind, you find yourself at the center of this world being projected by your mind. Your consciousness contains this world, and everything experience is happening within your consciousness. But it is not the real world. It is a dumbed down, and much smaller version of the real world. Like a dream.
When you sleep at night, and you have a dream, this dream comes to life within your consciousness. There is no-one in the dream other than you. And yet you feel that you are separate from the dream world. You are not aware that you are in fact everything in the dream. When you wake up in the morning the dream world disappears back into you and is replaced with the world of your senses. But even this world is just your mind’s version of reality.
Reality is God’s dream. And just like your consciousness divided to become everything in your dream, the consciousness of God divided to represent reality. Your soul is that fragment of the consciousness of God that thinks it is you, and takes your world as real. It is identified with being human.
As it stands, the soul thinks it is you and only you. The soul does not realize that the world it perceives through you is happening within it. Your lifetime and the world of your lifetime is the dream of your soul. When the soul wakes up it realizes that it has been millions of versions of you. The soul realizes who it truly is – the immortal cosmic dreamer.
After his enlightenment, the Buddha was stopped by a man on the road. He asked the Buddha, “My friend, what are you? Are you a god?” “No,” said the Buddha. “Well, then, are you some kind of magician or wizard?” the man asked. Again, the Buddha answered, “No.” “Are you a man?” he asked. “No,” the Buddha replied. “Well, my friend, what are you?” the man asked at last. The Buddha replied, “I am awake.”
The term Buddha means “the one who is awake.”

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
