INSCRIBED by the author in blue ink to the half title: 'John Loder | 1905-1926 | October 1926 | from FRR.' Also with three related journal articles by Francis Rennell Rodd paper-clipped together, loosely inserted to preliminaries. Publisher's navy cloth with gilt titles to spine, and a gilt device to upper. Top edge gilt. Some bowing and rust marks from journal articles to front endpapers and upper board, otherwise a clean copy internally. Light general wear to cloth, with some toning and a few splash marks to spine. Very good. A classic ethnological account of a nomadic North African tribe, inscribed by the author to the 2nd Baron Wakehurst, who attended Eton at the same time as Rodd, and served with him in Egypt and Palestine in the Intelligence Corps during the First World War.
