About this Item
The analytical possibilities of Pente are far more intriguing and delightful than one might imagine. This book has been divided into two aspects of Pente strategy: structure and tactics. Hopefully it will serve as an instructive introduction to the various structures most commonly used and present a few of the tactical devices that have proven effective. With even a relatively casual read, you will certainly increase your skill level and enjoyment of the game. Appendix A shows play of 1979 World Championship games won by author. Thomas Braunlich holds a USCF Life Master rating in chess and was co-inventor of the Star Trek: The Next Generation Customizable Card Game (1994). Larger paperback has brown boards with white lettering plus a B&W picture of the author on rear cover. Interior is tight, clean and unmarked. Opens as if unread. Copyright 1980.
