Penny Haren continues her quest to take the stress out of creating perfect blocks with her Pieced Appliqué (TM) techniques!
In Penny Haren's Pieced Applique More Blocks & Projects, her second book, she shows you how to create beautiful 6" blocks and projects. You'll build 25 additional blocks with the basic foundation blocks and techniques you have already mastered. While these blocks appear more difficult, they are actually simple enough that a beginning quilter will achieve immediate success!
Pieced Appliqué (TM) is a unique way to look at setting up your blocks and doing complicated piecing. It's very easy to learn, can be done by hand or machine, and makes creating intricate miniature blocks a breeze! Every finished Pieced Appliqué (TM) block is built on an easy-to-make foundation block. The name of the foundation block you need to make for each finished block is given at the beginning of the instructions for each block.
Everything you need to know to successfully create beautiful archival blocks you may have thought impossible is packed inside this 144-page book! You'll find 25 gorgeous blocks with full-size patterns, over 500 full-color photos, diagrams, and illustrations, color and fabric options, and no inset seams.
With Pieced Appliqué (TM), you see exactly what your finished block will look like before anything is stitched! You'll learn how to position and appliqué points and curves for perfect placement without machine piecing, creating blocks with very sharp points and curves that are impossible to achieve with traditional methods. Eliminate puckers created by piecing inset points and "Y" seams by appliquéing them! You can even carry your blocks with you to work on wherever you go.
