English text, translated from the Russian by Constance Garnett, with 41 illustrations throughout by John Groth. Finely bound in half morocco gilt by Hatchards (their ink pallet to front endpaper); cloth sides; top edge gilt; marbled endpapers; half-title; colour frontispiece. Condition: GOOD. Binding tight and secure, the hinges and joints intact. Some moderate staining to the covers. Interior very well-preserved. A handsome copy.
