Item description from seller

G ex-lib. in illus. dj, edges lt. stained. Corner cut from ffep. vii, [1], 113 p.; 21 cm. Preface: `During the half-dozen years since the death of Paul Tillich, his widow, Hannah, has urged me to write a biography of him. I am grateful for her urging and for the aid she has given in this enterprise. As I reconsidered Paulus' fascinating life, however, I became convinced that the only area in which I could hope to do some justice was that in which our lives overlapped. Thus this book turns out to be about two men, Paulus and me, and how our lives intermingled from almost the month he stepped off the ship as an exile from Germany until his death in 1966. I have therefore subtitled it Reminiscences of a Friendship.'. 2nd impression edition. Binding is Hardcover.
