Limp brown leather covers, with the front bearing an illustration of palms in blind. 324 pp. A novel that subtly explores the (re)colonization of Puerto Rico by the United States by following a young American couple wandering San Juan and pondering their prospects while surveying the vestiges of colonial Spain (see David Maldanado Rivera's article "Method, Ethics, and Historiography : A Late Ancient Caribbean in the Temporalities of Empire" in the January 25, 2022 Issue of the Ancient Jew Review). GOOD condition. Heavy scuffing to the leather along the extremities, spine and hinges. Minor toning and soiling. Light toning in the interior. Owner's signature present.
