Paperback. PATTERNS: Honor the Fire is a raw, practical, faith-filled book about hearing, honoring, and obeying the Holy Spirit.Dennis J Ackman writes from real life, not religious theory. Through testimony, Scripture, surrender, recovery, family lessons, truck-road word pictures, and hard-earned wisdom, this book points readers back to one central truth: Jesus must be first, and the Holy Spirit must be honored as God, Helper, Counselor, and Spirit of Truth. This is not a book about chasing goosebumps or building a spiritual performance. It is about learning to slow down, listen, obey, repent, and walk with the One Jesus promised would help us.Inside, readers will be challenged to: Honor the Holy Spirit instead of ignoring Him.Recognize conviction as mercy, not condemnation.Stop grieving and quenching the Spirit.Put Jesus first in family, decisions, work, and daily life.Understand that love carries the gospel.See how one changed life can affect a whole family.Live the Great Commission through surrendered obedience. This book is for anyone who is tired of religious talk without real transformation. It is for the person who knows God is real but also knows they have been running past the Helper. It is for men and women who want more than a moment with God. They want a life that honors Him.The fire does not need to be hyped up.It needs to be honored. This item is printed on demand. - Book 1 of 1: PATTERNS: Breaking Cycles. Building Life.
The PATTERNS series helps readers recognize the cycles shaping their lives, understand where those patterns began, and begin building something better through Jesus Christ.
Drawing from real-life testimony, Scripture, recovery, family experiences, hard-earned lessons, and practical wisdom, Dennis J. Ackman writes honestly about addiction, anger, fear, broken trust, repeated choices, and the possibility of lasting transformation.
These books are not about pretending the past did not happen. They are about bringing it into the light, learning from it, and refusing to let yesterday’s patterns control tomorrow.
Readers will be encouraged to:
• Recognize destructive and repeating patterns
• Understand the connection between thoughts, choices, and consequences
• Replace shame with truth, responsibility, and hope
• Renew their minds through Scripture
• Build healthier spiritual and practical habits
• Trust Jesus as the foundation for genuine change
• Turn lessons from the past into a stronger legacy
Jesus Christ is the Savior. GRDR—Get Right to Do Right—is a practical tool that helps readers apply truth to everyday decisions. Real change begins on the inside and becomes visible through faithful action.
The main book and devotional may be read independently or used together. One reveals the patterns; the other helps readers practice change one day at a time.
Break the cycle. Build the life God intended.
