Music. Life. Loss. And the singular sensation that is forever Patsy Cline. - Darius Rucker Little Patsy Cline is a dreamer with grand and gleaming aspirations. She has a powerful voice and a generous heart - and she dreams of sharing both with the world.Whether fizzing sodas in a soda shop, sewing a showy something, or piddling in the garden, Patsy imagines one day singing onstage at Carnegie Hall. And the Grand Ole Opry too. She muses about performing in Las Vegas as the very first female country artist to headline a show. She even daydreams about hearing hear her own voice booming in the air around her while listening to the radio.Patsy's sleep dreams are filled with adventures and blazing color. Her fast asleep imagination is as big as her dreams and her heart. As much as she loves sleep dreaming and daydreaming, Patsy's favorite dreams of all are her walking after midnight dreams. It's when she finds herself dream walking. She knows she's asleep, and yet somehow it all feels so very very real. It's when life and loss entwine and comfort. It's where imagination and possibilities come together with surprising and meaningful encounters.A tender book about daydreams, sweet dreams and dream walking after midnight from Patsy Cline's daughter Julie Dick Fudge and Judith A. Proffer, award-winning author of Broadway Baby, Bondi & Poppy Help Heal the Planet and When We Stayed Home.Illustrated by Yoko Matsuoka, a professional fantasy artist living in Northern Japan who specializes in creating evocative worlds and imagery for books, fine-art posters and games. Patsy Cline made a profound and indelible impact on country music before a plane accident claimed her life in 1963. She remains one of the biggest names and influences in country music, and was one of the first country music singers to cross over into pop music. Cline recorded Walkin' After Midnight in 1957 and it became her first big hit, placing #2 on Billboard's country charts. The 1957 release was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2020.From Meteor 17 Books, publisher of Graham Nash's Our House, Heart's Dog & Butterfly, American Pie, A Fable and Vincent (Starry Starry Night).Published with the cooperation and approval of Patsy Cline Enterprises, LLC.…
