This is a heart-warming collection of stories by a dedicated veterinarian, featuring wild horses, porcupine-quill-covered dogs, male cats in labour, an extremely ornery pygmy donkey, and many other domestic, exotic, and farm animals. Wells begins his work as an inexperienced college grad and emerges a caring and beloved veterinarian, affording the reader a glimpse into his daily life while narrating many uplifting, life altering, life-threatening, and hilarious episodes.
