Leather-Stocking Edition. 'Limited to 1000 Copies'. This one is 'No. 375'. No date of publication. This sale is for only the one volume. The volume is part of 'The Complete Works of J. Fenimore Cooper's Leather-Stocking Edition in Thirty-Two Volumes.' You can see the covers in the photos. There are some small scuffs at the top and bottom edges of the spine. There's also a scuff over what would have been the 'E' and part of the 'R' in Pathfinder on the spine. The cover edges are in solid shape. The cover corners have small spots of rub-through. The top page edge is gilt. It looks very good. The spine has a moderate forward lean. The binding is quite solid with nicely, tightly bound pages throughout. The covers are nicely, tightly bound. The interior of the book is in very decent condition. Scrolling through, I found only a very occasional small spot of soiling at a margin. There are two exceptions: two facing pages that have more significant soiling, though none of it touches the print, and but the top edge of one page there is a fair spot, although it also does not reach the print. I found three small edge tears, none reaching the print. I also found one or two instances of a teeny tiny edge loss. Finally, there is a very thin horizontal crinkle off the top edge of most of the pages, nothing much of anything to my eye, looks like a thin line of toning. There are no markings in the book. No attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere. There is a black and white frontispiece protected by a red-captioned tissue guard, also a small illustration on the title page. Both are in excellent condition. 'The Pathfinder, or The Inland Sea is a historical novel by American author James Fenimore Cooper, first published in 1840. It is the fourth novel Cooper wrote featuring Natty Bumppo, his fictitious frontier hero, and the third chronological episode of the Leather-stocking Tales. The inland sea of the title is Lake Ontario. It is the only book in the Leather-stocking series to show Natty Bumppo in love, and the first of Cooper's books which made important imaginative use of the Great Lakes.'.

More important than selling the book I want to make sure that you know, as much as is possible, exactly what you are getting. As regards international shipping, the first class or standard rates I charge are based on a package weight between 2 and 3 pounds. You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the the last good or the last lot or piece.

To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us, Rareeclectic, P.O. 155, 10576, pound ridge, New York, U.S.A., 1 347-675-2712, of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail). You may use the attached model cancellation form, but it is not obligatory. You can also electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.

Effects of cancellation

If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).

We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Exceptions to the right of cancellation

The right of cancellation does not apply to:

the delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
the supply of digital content (including ebooks) which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not cancel it once delivery had started.
