Review
?Suzanne Vega is a writer at heart?[The Passionate Eye is a] sharply observed compilation of poetry, confessional vignettes, and journal entries?Vega proves adept at spotting uncommon details and conveying them in unfettered prose.?--"Entertainment Weekly?Arresting and surprising?lively, insightful, frequently very funny?["The Passionate Eye]is marked by small truths about our lives, little revelations discovered through our quotidian days and lonely nights?Vega not only has a terrific eye for detail, but she has a narrative voice that is compelling and convincing.?--"Boston Tab"Like her music, Vega's prose is studded with precise images that prove her a keen observer of the world around her."--"Publisher's Weekly
