Some journeys break us open; others teach us how to gather the pieces with grace.
In Parts of Me, poet Irina Nistor traces a deeply human journey through uncertainty, loss, healing, and renewal. Inspired by her experience as an ovarian cancer survivor and by years spent listening to the stories of others as a healthcare professional and phenomenological researcher, these poems speak with quiet honesty about what it means to be transformed by life.
Moving from darkness toward light, Parts of Me explores the enduring power of love, family, nature, spirituality, and hope. Rich with luminous imagery and compassionate reflection, the collection offers solace to anyone who has faced illness, grief, profound change, or the challenge of beginning again.
These are poems for those learning to trust their own resilience, for those discovering that healing is not a return to the life that was, but an invitation to embrace the life that is.
Tender, contemplative, and deeply hopeful, Parts of Me is a celebration of the courage to endure, the grace to grow, and the quiet strength that remains when everything else has changed.

About the Author
Irina Nistor, PhD, is a writer, healthcare professional, and researcher whose work explores the intersections of illness, healing, identity, and resilience, illuminating the enduring strength of the human spirit.
Born in Romania and now living in Canada, she brings a perspective shaped by both cultures, blending scientific inquiry with deep compassion and reflection. Trained as a phenomenologist, she earned her PhD studying lived experience, seeking to understand how people make meaning through life's most challenging moments.
Throughout her career in healthcare and research, Irina has been privileged to learn from others' stories. Following her own journey as an ovarian cancer survivor, questions of healing, loss, hope, and transformation became deeply personal, inspiring a body of writing that invites readers to find connection within their own experiences.
