All edges gilt; spine unlettered, as issued. A snug bright copy. Reproductions of salon works printed in photogravure on heavy stock sheets, attached to binding stubs. Le Roux, Muller, Bonnat and others represented. A scallop shaped damp line along the top front corner of the pages and plate sheets is in the upper margin and does not intrude into text or image. A thin red offset line from damped adjacent book is visible on the decorative front cover but is minor and rather unobtrusive. Mild shelf rub to tips of beveled edged boards. A handsome copy.
