The Panoramic Leader: How Great Leaders See Differently (Hardcover)

**USA TODAY BESTSELLER**

Your decisions are only as good as the world you can see.

In a world of constant disruption, the most talented leaders don’t fail for lack of intelligence or information. They fail because they’re navigating with partial maps of the landscape.

We live in an era defined by rapid change, overwhelming information, and constant uncertainty. Markets shift overnight. Technologies leap forward before we can adapt. When the world changes faster than our perspective, we don’t just fall behind. We misread what’s happening. We miss critical signals. We make decisions that feel right based on our limited view—but fall short.

Drawing on decades of experience coaching some of the world’s most successful leaders, Cornelia Choe and bestselling author Marshall Goldsmith, both recognized by Thinkers50 for their powerful insights, reveal a new way to lead in our complex environment—not by acting faster, but by seeing more.

This is panoramic leadership: the ability to continuously update your mental map so you can see your organization, your environment, and your choices more clearly—and lead more confidently even when the ground keeps shifting. Through their original GEM process, Choe and Goldsmith lay out a practical, actionable path to spot subtle signals you may be missing, build trust that unlocks honest feedback, and uncover critical insights hiding in plain sight.

Along the way, you’ll discover how visionary chef Ferran Adrià reinvented modern cuisine by shifting how he saw ingredients. How Serena Williams transformed her game by opening herself to a new coach’s radically different perspective. And how jazz legend Wynton Marsalis creates extraordinary music by holding certain elements constant while exploring everything else.

The Panoramic Leader will change how you make decisions, align teams, and navigate uncertainty. Because in complex environments, perspective isn’t a luxury—it’s a strategic advantage.

Leaders who see more make better decisions. Not because they know more, but because they understand more.

Cornelia Choe is an international leadership expert, global keynote speaker, and Thinkers50 Radar honoree who has advised hundreds of CEOs and senior leaders across five continents, helping them make better decisions in complex, highstakes environments. Her TEDx talk has been viewed more than 2 million times.

Her work centers on how leaders expand their perspective — enabling them to see what others miss and lead effectively in moments of uncertainty. Drawing on experience across multilateral institutions, government agencies, and global companies — from startups to Fortune 500 corporations — she brings a deep understanding of leadership in interconnected systems.

Cornelia’s global perspective is shaped by a life lived across three continents and seven countries. At eighteen, she led a pioneering initiative connecting CEOs across continents. At nineteen, she spoke at a landmark United Nations conference launching her onto the international stage.

A graduate of Georgetown University and the Harvard Kennedy School, she previously worked in private equity at Morgan Stanley and other institutions, supporting leadership teams across Asia, Europe, and North America. Fluent in three languages, she speaks globally on leadership, decisionmaking, and how leaders widen their lens in moments that matter most.
