I Was a Pagan - V. C. Kitchen (Hodder & Stoughton, London) Fourth Printing - 1937 - Original Dust Jacket Oxford Group Memoir Description A scarce early Oxford Group title: I Was a Pagan by V. C. Kitchen, the London edition published by Hodder & Stoughton, Fourth Printing (1937), in the original dust jacket. Kitchen's candid memoir traces a spiritual turning point during the formative years of the Oxford Group movement-an era closely tied to the wider "life-changing" currents that helped shape early recovery spirituality. Written with directness and conviction, the book explores the themes of surrender, moral inventory, honesty, and transformation through lived experience. A compelling piece of 1930s spiritual literature and a strong companion volume for collectors of Oxford Group / early recovery-adjacent history. Publication Details Title: I Was a Pagan Author: V. C.
