A vintage softcover trade catalog by the Pacific Tank & Pipe Company, 128 pages. Bound in brown paper wraps with title at front cover. Printed on thick, slick paper with many black and white illustrations, tables and photographs throughout. Includes sections entitled "Durability," "Cost," "Capacity," "Wood Used," "Adaptability," "Size and Pressure" of "Pacific Continuous Wood Stove Pipe" and the "Installation" of that pipe. Also includes sections on different uses of wood stave pipe: "Irrigation Systems," "Reclamation," "Hydro-Electric Power Development," "Railroads," "Conveying Aciduous Water from Mines," and "Hydraulic Sluicing," among others. Includes similar descriptive sections on "Machine Banded Wood Stove Pipe," with sections on "Curvature," "Fittings," and "Couplings" as well. Includes pages of tables of water pressure for various pipe diameters at the rear of this catalog. A very thorough catalog describing the use of wood stave pipes in the early 20th century. "621 - 1" and "Library, The Franklin Institute" and "SEP 24 1921" stamps along the upper margin of the front cover of this catalog. Black ink markings over gold in title at front cover. Spine is starting to chip (see photo). "Franklin Library Institute" embossed at top of title page. The glue binding this catalog has dried, causing the first and final pages to tear near the spine (see photo). However, everything remains intact and in one piece with no pages looser than others. The lower corner of pages 31 to 40 is creased (see photo). The pages are clean and free of writing.…

Store description
We're at 805 Caroline Street, in the heart of Fredericksburg's historic district. Open Monday to Saturday 10-6; and Sunday 12-5. In warmer months we stay open until 9 most nights, but you might want to call ahead. (540) 373-6148 Shipping rates are for Media Mail, in a padded envelope - WE DO NOT ADD TRACKING UNLESS THE CUSTOMER REQUESTS IT AND PAYS FOR IT - we have been selling books online for more than 20 years & find that the USPO delivers 99.99% of packages quickly and safely, without any need for a tracking number. We trust them & we hope you will too. If you need tracking, please consider PRIORITY SHIPPING. We ship orders valued at more than $50 in a box, at no additional charge. Priority mailing is for a Flat-Rate envelope, with tracking included. If the book does not fit into a flat rate envelope, we will likely need to request extra shipping costs from you, in order to put it in a box. We only charge the actual amount of shipping, so we hope you'll understand that it's just a matter of getting the book to you without taking a loss on it -- shipping is a service we happily offer without a 'handling' charge.... but we can't afford to charge you less than the cost of the stamps!…
