This book contains reproductions, with commentaries, of plates from a Chinese treatise on painting first published in 1619, which has always been considered a classic. It has only rarely been reproduced in color. Also included in the book are two other sets of Chinese prints and painting -- the Kaempfer Series (1692) and Perfect Harmony (1670). Boards show just a touch of edgewear and lightly bumped upper corners, o/w boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and square. The dustjacket shows a creased lower corner on the back flap and some slight soiling and surface wear.
