86 pp., plus 4 pp. testamonials; Publisher's original brown cloth binding embossed in blind and gilt. Some discoloration on the back cover and spine, inner hinges cracked, wear at the spine tips and some at the corner tips. Laid inside is an interesting letter from Felix E. Schelling to Prof. Thomas Cope of University of Pennslyvania. In regards to his returning this book. A portion of it reads ".As I have read as much as is capable of reaching my limited understanding, and I am deeply interested, although I can see that it is mathematics that closes many a page to me." Felix Schelling (1858-1945) was John Welsh Centennial Professor of English Literature at the University of Pennsylvania. A member of the National Institute of Arts and Letters, of the American Philosophical Society and of the Modern Language Association of America. Scarce book. Picture.
