Add to basketIn a world where a woman's worth is measured by the children she bears, what happens when love becomes a casualty of tradition?
For years, Kemi prayed for a child.
She endured the whispers, the pitying glances, and the relentless pressure from family and society. When her husband, Sadiq, takes a second wife in the hope of securing an heir, Kemi's heart breaks—but she remains silent, believing patience will eventually be rewarded.
Then the impossible happens.
The second wife, Amina, gives birth first—but only to daughters. Years later, Kemi finally conceives and gives birth to the son everyone had longed for.
What should have been a blessing soon becomes the beginning of a nightmare.
As power shifts within the household, jealousy, bitterness, and favoritism transform a once-peaceful home into a battlefield. The daughters are neglected. Love becomes conditional. Silence becomes cruelty. And when tragedy strikes, Amina finds herself abandoned by the very people who should have protected her.
Forced to leave with her children and start over with nothing, she embarks on a painful journey through poverty, grief, sacrifice, and unimaginable loss.
But sometimes, the strongest women are not those who never fall.
They are the ones who rise after everything has been taken from them.
